A typical day in Uganda Martyrs SS Namugongo begins with prayer and thereafter different academic activities follow as planned. Depending on the class, students have Mass on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays and the whole school on Wednesdays and Sundays.
In the evenings, students are given time for extra-curricular activities to help enhance holistic learning. During this time, students engage in different activities such as aerobics, sports, Music Dance and Drama as well as holding meetings in their respective Clubs and Movements. Saturdays are normal school learning days especially for the Candidates and semi Candidates. In case of any adjustment in programs, students are promptly informed. The fear of God, time management and respect of academic activities are some of the key values that the School upholds in high regard.
During the examination period, the school activities may change to allow students have personal revision time. Students are also encouraged to have personal revision during study breaks, morning and evening preps.
Our day ends at 9:30pm with night prayers. Thereafter, the lower school sets off to their respective dormitories to rest. Whereas, the upper school continues with senior prep up to 11:00pm.
